Device-first software

Less cloud.
More ownership.

UnoThink builds software that keeps the device, the person and the real world at the center of the experience. Our first product is ShortbliP: a proximity-native social network designed to work without the Internet in the middle.

The device can be the platform.

Not every interaction needs an account server, a social graph in a datacenter or a feed stored in the cloud. We explore products that can coordinate directly, locally and privately.

ShortbliP

Social without the Internet in the middle.

Nearby iPhones discover one another through Bluetooth presence and exchange authenticated, encrypted social content over local peer-to-peer networking. No central ShortbliP social database is required for the core experience.

Principle 01

Private by default.

We prefer architecture that minimizes collection instead of promising to manage a giant collection responsibly later.

Principle 02

Useful offline.

Where the product allows it, essential experiences should keep working when the Internet does not.
